Whether you’re chasing trophy fish, riding alpine country on horseback, or simply escaping the noise, Scoop Lake is the kind of place that resets something in you.
For bush pilots transiting through Watson Lake – or enroute to Alaska, we’re a short flight with a better story at the other end. Most who plan an overnight end up extending their stay.

GETTING HERE
Accessible by Air Only
Scoop Lake is fly-in only — which is exactly the point. The road doesn’t come here, and that’s what makes it what it is.

Flying In on Your Own?
Scoop Lake has both a grass airstrip and a floatplane lake, making it a natural stop for private pilots transiting the north. Watson Lake is a short hop away — but we’d argue the destination here is considerably better.
